Celebrate Oʻahu Small Business Week Starting April 28, 2024

 

HONOLULU – Almost two months after the Honolulu Office of Economic Revitalization (OER) launched its new Oʻahu Business Connector program, the City and County of Honolulu will be celebrating Small Business Week with opportunities for small business owners, entrepreneurs, and other community members to gather information and get connected to resources. 

Local companies are invited to join OER’s “Oʻahu Small Business Week” of events to learn more about what the Oʻahu Business Connector offers.

“Oʻahu Small Business Week” events are free and open to the public:

·        Wednesday, May 1, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.Meet the Resource Connectors at the Hub Coworking in Kakaʻako (1050 Queen St., #100). Talk story with OER’s Resource Connector team and learn about free and low-cost help services available to small businesses and startups. 

·        Thursday, May 2 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.Making Your Home-Based Business Work session at Kapolei Hale (1000 Uluʻōhiʻa St.), co-sponsored by the U.S. Small Business Association. Learn about the benefits and challenges of starting or running a home-based business, and how to get your products into military base facilities. Advanced registration is required at Eventbrite.

·        Saturday, May 4 from 8 a.m. to noonOER booth at the Makeke Waiʻanae at Waiʻanae Mall (86-120 Farrington Hwy). Small businesses and entrepreneurs are invited to OER’s booth to get connected with free and low-cost services.

The Oʻahu Business Connector program provides support for small businesses looking to launch, expand, or take the next step in their journey. Along with a website that lists more than 70 resources, OER has a four-person team of Resource Connectors, who meet in person with businesses around the island.
